Align Technology to recognize research programs that advance orthodontic and dental patient care

The 2023 grant application process is now open for up to $300,000 in grants

TEMPE, Ariz., November 07, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALGN) today announced the inauguration of its 2023 Research Awards program to support clinical and scientific research in dentistry at universities around the world. This year, up to $300,000 will be awarded to university faculty for scientific and technological research initiatives aimed at improving patient care in the fields of orthodontics and dentistry. Align Technology’s Research Awards Program has funded approximately $2.7 million in research grants since the program began in 2010.

University Dental Research Scholarships are available in the following regions:

  • America (US, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America): Four annual awards of up to US$25,000 each

  • EMEA: Four annual awards of up to $25,000 each

  • APAC: Four annual awards of up to $25,000 each

Eligible applicants for dental research awards are full-time and part-time faculty members involved in dental or scientific research at universities where Invisalign is performed® Treatment or the iTero™ scanner is available. All applications are reviewed by an independent academic committee, which forwards its recommendations to Align for final selection. Initial applications from a university program will be considered.
