Hunter Biden’s interview on a live Twitter Spaces broadcast descended into chaos after he appeared to have been taken off the line, and the host began ranting that his hands were “tied” on what to ask the president’s son.
Hunter Biden appeared with host Mario Nawfal on “The Crypto Roundtable Show” on Tuesday, the day of the week the host normally reserves for topics related to NFTs (non-fungible tokens). However, Biden had very little comment to offer on NFTs or cryptocurrencies.
Biden appeared on the show alongside “Tron” producer Donald Kushner and spoke a bit about his drug recovery and how painting 24/7 has helped him stay sober, and Kushner promoted his new Web3-inspired Cryptosaurs NFT collection .
Towards the end of the interview, when Nawfal thanked the men for appearing on the show, it seemed they both walked out without saying anything. The perceived slight had Nawfal ranting and saying his “hands are tied” on what to ask Biden.
JOE BIDEN MEET AT LEAST 14 BUSINESS PARTNERS OF HUNTER BIDEN DURING VICE PRESIDENT
“They just jumped off now,” he said. “So, that gives you an idea of how — behind the scenes, that was tough. … There were a lot of requirements that we had to meet. Q— that was so stressful. It was so damn stressful, man.”
“There were a lot of stories that I didn’t know that made the whole thing a lot trickier and more delicate,” he continued.
“I’m usually very open, I ask questions, I debate,” he added. “It’s like a free mic, anyone could ask any questions. We always allow debates. But this is the first time we’ve kind of tied our hands: ‘Those are the questions you’re asking, don’t ask any more questions.’ And, brother, it was difficult.”
FROM HUNTER BIDEN TO THE WUHAN LAB LEAK THEORY, THE MEDIA HAS ADMITTED EIGHT TIMES THAT THEY DID WRONG A KEY MEDIA NARRATIVE
Nawfal swore he would not make the same mistake twice.
“My mistake was accepting all the guests, I don’t care if next time it’s a president, all the guests that come, that’s my rule as of today,” he said. “Any guest that comes in from now on has to be ready to answer any damn question we want to ask — no canned questions.”
A producer then jumped in, saying he “received messages they didn’t leave” and that an apparent mistake cut off the call.
Mike Bonhoeffer, Kushner’s partner at Cryptosaurs, then called and slammed the moderator for jumping to conclusions.
“I’ve never heard anyone get thrown under the bus so quickly, go dark so quickly, and blame someone with no control over what happened because of a glitch in your system that knocked Donald and Hunter off the network had, and quickly constructed a narrative,” said Bonhoeffer. “That’s part of Taurus – that goes on. You are building a narrative that had no basis in truth.”
“Hunter is someone who doesn’t want to talk about politics because he’s not a politician, he’s an artist,” he continued. “And we looked at the stream of vitriol that came as you put the promo on your Twitter feed and there were thousands of people talking about Hunter Biden. So we had to set limits to that.”
Nawfal acknowledged that he jumped to conclusions about dropping the calls just before further technical difficulties abruptly prompted producers to reset the show.

Upon his return, Nawfal insisted the frequency of disruptions was highly “unusual” and reiterated his position that he would no longer agree to pre-approved questions or subjects.
Biden is currently under federal investigation for his tax affairs and foreign dealings. His attorney did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
