Billionaire Elon Musk, who recently took over Twitter, has issued a stark warning about the threat that awakened ideologies pose to human civilization.
In a November 25th tweet Under the heading “Need advice,” Musk asked Twitter users what they thought of the Kulturkampf. If a user answered that the conservative side needs to start funding more artists, filmmakers, and writers instead of politicians and PACs because “you can’t win a culture war without culture,” Musk said answered that he is neither “conventionally right nor left”, although he agrees on the point.
“The wake-mind virus has completely permeated entertainment, driving civilization to suicide. There has to be a counter-narrative,” he said.
Musk also agreed a meme This suggests that teachers are trying to force woke propaganda into children’s brains through education.
After acquiring Twitter, Musk said the reason he bought the social media platform was to create a “common digital town square” where people could discuss a variety of topics in a healthy way.
“Currently, there is a great danger that social media will fragment into right-wing extremist and left-wing extremist echo chambers, which will generate even more hatred and divide our society,” he warned.
In a recent interview with The Epoch Times, political commentator Amber Athey pointed out that the Democrat-led mainstream mainstream media is increasingly beholden to younger radical progressives.
Awakened millennials want left-wing groups to agree with their version of political correctness and truth, otherwise they will label such groups as sexist, racist and transphobic, she said.
“They thought the awakening millennials were on their side… [and] quickly learned that ‘wokeism’ does not accept anything other than 100 percent loyalty.”
Failing woke agenda in entertainment?
Hollywood is at the forefront of promoting progressive culture. However, the recent summer box office performance could be a hint that the American public wants less of the woke content.
According to a Wall Street Journal report, Hollywood raised $3.43 billion in North America in the summer of 2022, down 21 percent from the summer of 2019, the last year before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is also 19 percent less than the average summer gross over the 14 years between 2005 and 2019. It is also the lowest transport for the season since 2001.
In an analysis published by Breitbart, senior writer John Nolte points out that both “Lightyear” from the Toy Story franchise and “Fantastic Beasts: The Mystery of Dumbledore” from the Harry Potter franchise performed poorly at the box office. Both films, which were aimed at children, contained homosexual content.
Marvel’s Thor and Thunder, which was criticized for emasculating male heroes, grossed just $340 million domestically, a low point for a Marvel franchise film.
The two big blockbusters of summer 2022 were Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home and Top Gun: Maverick, both of which together grossed over $1.5 billion from the domestic market. The two films are “non-wake” films, emphasizes Nolte.
