Consultants in each state stopped in Year 2 of the PADSA project. The PADSA project has since concluded.
We worked to create a team of self-advocates. These self-advocates could work with self-advocacy groups in the PADSA region. We matched with groups for specific projects on a short-term, contractual basis. When a self-advocacy group had a specific need or goal, they could contact PADSA staff. PADSA staff could match them with the consultant best suited for their needs.
The consultant pool had self-advocates with experience and expertise in areas such as:
- project management
- organizational capacity building
- leadership development
- legislative advocacy
- facilitation
- grant writing.
